Loving all the London greenery

My first time walking all the way down to this part of the Elwha since the end of the dam removal and initial reforestation efforts. Last time I came here it was all silt and rubble, and the roads have been constantly washing out so access was limited for a while. Things have since had a little bit of time to take hold, it’s only been a few years and everything is so lush now!! The entire valley was scented by this huge swath of lupines.

Being able to witness the return of the Elwha River watershed is Really Something 💚
